Some tips before starting:

Before you start, it is important to know where the hosting should come from and which website is best for you. I told you above about Diana Host and Web Host BD, but if you are still confused, I will suggest you Diana Host because from here you can get hosting through Bikas without credit card. There are also some hosting companies from where you can take hosting through development. However, the service of Diana Host will be better than theirs.

So now I assume that you have taken hosting from Diana Host / Web Host BD or a company of your choice and now you are ready to transfer your Blogger blog to WordPress.

Step 1 (Export Blogger Blog)

First you need to log in to your blogger and backup the blogger blog. That’s why you need to go to the settings of the blog you want to transfer to WordPress and click on the backup content.

Blogger Dashboard >> Settings >> Backup Content

  • Now a new popup window will open, click on “Download”.
  • As soon as you click download, a file download will start. Depending on the size of the blog, it may take 3-5 minutes to download.

Step: 2 (Import Blogger into WordPress)

After downloading Blogger’s backup, you need to import Blogger into WordPress. So go to WordPress and log in and go to the dashboard of your WordPress blog and click Import from Tools. Then click on Blogger as shown in the image.

Tools >> Import

  • Now a new popup window will open, click on “Install Now” at the top.
  • Install Blogger plugin
  • Once the Blogger plugin is installed, click on the “Run Importar” option.
  • Now click on “Choose File”, select the downloaded file in the backup content and click on “Upload and Import”.

WordPress will import all the posts from your Blogger blog. This will take time, and when WordPress completely imports your Blogger blog, you will be asked about the author of the imported files if you want to manage the blog in WordPress with the same name. You can have the same name or if you want to use WordPress with another name, you can create a new account and select it.

So you need to know what is being transferred from Blogger to WordPress and what is not.

1. Everything that will move:

Categories (labels), posts, comments and images will be moved.

2. Anything that won’t move:

Widgets, templates / themes and commenter avatars mean photos of people who have commented on your website will not be transferred.

Your Blogspot blog has now moved to WordPress. Take a look at all the images in your post because some images are missing when you move a Blogger blog to WordPress.
